Education with Purpose

Scholarship Program

We promote access to quality university education for talented young Dominicans with a vocation for service.

The Timeart Scholarship Program was created by the Timeart Foundation in 2020 to encourage and promote academic excellence in university education through scholarships for areas considered priorities for the country's development. With this, the program seeks to collaborate in preparing future generations of Dominicans.

Scholarship Grant Provisions

Scholarship applications will be accepted from students entering for the first time or who are already active in the National Higher Education System of the Dominican Republic, who meet the following requirements: • Have Dominican citizenship, as stated in the Constitution of the Republic. • Demonstrate high academic performance, no less than 90 points, as a general average of the Baccalaureate, in the case of new university students. If the student has completed only one educational period at the university, the academic index to be considered will be that of the Baccalaureate; if they have studied for two or more periods, a cumulative index of no less than 3.0 will be required. • Demonstrate leadership skills and involvement in community and social welfare projects. • Have chosen to study in one of the careers eligible for the Scholarship Program. • Demonstrate admission (new students) or enrollment (active students) in one of the Dominican Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). • Demonstrate need for financial assistance to pursue studies. Home visits may be conducted and proof of family income may be requested. • Be willing to comply with the provisions and rules of the Scholarship Program. • Have no prior educational debts.
Program resources will be provided as follows: Full or partial scholarships that will cover the following items: • Credits corresponding to the academic program or university career of the beneficiary, taking into account its official distribution by quarter, semester, or trimester. • Registration fees (in some cases) As part of the scholarship application evaluation process, the Foundation Council will decide on the allocation of full or partial resources and subsidies, in each case, taking into account the family income level of the applicant, associated with their academic merit and their leadership and involvement in community and social welfare projects.
The Program will grant scholarships to obtain a degree in the following areas of knowledge: • Technology • Humanities • Social Sciences
Scholarship applicants can choose to study at any of the HEIs with which we have agreements.
In case the student has to carry an academic load below the norm, they must have authorization from the Scholarship Unit of the HEI and inform the Timeart Foundation about said measure.
• The institution will make a pre-qualification that will be based on compliance with the requirements and initial information about family income. • Pre-qualified applicants will be invited to a personal or virtual interview at the Timeart Foundation offices, from whose results a list of pre-selected candidates will emerge. • A home visit will be made to pre-selected candidates, in which their family income must be verified through reasonable documentation. Or they must be referred by an institution that knows and endorses their socioeconomic situation. • The Foundation Council will evaluate each case and determine if assistance is appropriate. If so, it will determine the type of aid to be awarded and its decision will be final. • The Timeart Foundation will convene the final beneficiaries, with whom the remaining procedures for the grant will be completed, which involve the HEIs.
Applications for this Call may be submitted until the date announced through various public communication media.
Applications must be submitted using the Scholarship Application Form established by the Program, which contains guidance on the required documentation. This form can be obtained directly by accessing through our web portal: www.Timeart.org.do

The Dominican Republic needs to raise the general educational level of its population and ensure that productive sectors have prepared personnel capable of contributing to better competitive performance in international markets. That is why the Timeart Foundation has set out to make a contribution by providing scholarships to talented young Dominicans with limited resources so they can pursue higher education at national universities.

However, the Timeart Foundation believes that the country's widespread progress cannot be achieved with professionals who only seek individual benefit, disregarding the welfare of other citizens. In this sense, the Foundation wants to recognize students who have high academic performance and have demonstrated leadership oriented towards serving the country through social work for community development.

We have a functional Council, which constitutes its highest regulatory and governing body. This Council is responsible for making decisions regarding the final selection of students who will receive support from the scholarship program.
