The fictionalized story, based on real events, was under the executive production of Mary Frances Attías and co-written with Eudys Cordero, who also acted as the film's general producer.

The film addresses one of the multiple facets of gender-based violence, the so-called "vicarious violence," and the script's dialogues reveal many of the situations that make it possible for these cases of violence to perpetuate and continue increasing, which have stopped being exclusive to women, often ending in homicides that even encompass more than one member of the family nucleus.

Created with the intention of giving visibility to a problem that has been growing in our society, and in which our country occupies one of the top positions in the region, it is hoped that this audiovisual will serve to educate the population in a more practical, synthesized, and to some extent entertaining way. The idea is to create ties with other organizations that wish to join the effort to promote this type of action and that they can be viralized to support existing campaigns in the country.

The presentation was attended by various governmental institutions involved in the fight against violence, as well as representatives from the district mayor's office, the prosecutor's office, the Spanish Cooperation Agency, and the press, among other special guests and friends related to the local film industry.

The fictionalized drama aims to raise awareness about the severity of the current situation, while also being an invitation for all actors in society to work together to achieve better access to information about existing forms of violence and the attitudes that maintain them.

Synopsis of "A Leap into the Void"

A 55-year-old man goes to the capital in search of his wife and only daughter, hoping to work things out between them. Upon finding her and verifying that she earns a living in a cabaret and doesn't want to return to him, he goes mad with jealousy. This situation triggers feelings of rage and desolation in him because she belongs to him. To hurt her, he kidnaps the girl and after wandering with her, not knowing what to do, ends up committing suicide along with her, putting an end to the anguish running inside him and thus consummating what he has conceived as his best revenge against the woman who abandoned him.
