The Timeart Foundation announced that its short film A Leap into the Void has been selected to participate in the Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival.

Produced and written by Mary Frances Attías and Eudys Cordero, and directed by Adrián Alberto Santana and Adrián Díaz, the short film A Leap into the Void was created with the intention of giving visibility to one of the multiple facets of gender-based violence, the so-called "vicarious violence."

It indicated that this is a problem that has been growing in Dominican society, and in which the Dominican Republic occupies one of the top positions in the region.

The Timeart Foundation said it is committed to empowering young Dominican talents and supporting their comprehensive development through the arts.

A Leap into the Void is a testament to the power of cinema to generate conversations, foster empathy, and drive positive change.

The Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival will take place from May 1st to 30th, and will feature a panel of judges, and will also receive votes from the audience.

The Timeart Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to enhance the development of young Dominican talents, relying on the tools that artistic practice provides us to offer them additional useful knowledge within their professional practice and to complement their comprehensive human development. With this purpose, the Timeart Foundation has set out to conduct a nationwide awareness campaign on non-violence through art. Thus was born the short film A Leap into the Void.
